Having dinner with my family, I ordered and tasted the foods seen in pictures. The rice's portion was good for sharing with one other person, but the taste was not bold. The chicken was tender but not extraordinary. The veggie was sweeter than garlicky. The soup was better than the fish. The soup was tasty, but the fish was rather bland. We spent around 1.1 m for four people. The ambiance was bright and colorful. The service was quick. Another visit, more dishes to try. The first dish was pad thai glass noodle. The taste and portion were okay. I did not think it was worth 70k. The second dish was peking duck sandwich. A fancy food presentation, but they were only two small sandwiches with so-so taste. It was again not worth 55k. The third dish was fresh oyster. They were four shells of oyster. They were fresh and flavorful, especially with the sauce that came with them. Was it worth 109k? You tell me. The fourth dish was chicken tofu soup. The soup was refreshing indeed. It came with five tofus and five meatballs. The tofus were standard, but the meatballs were tender and flavorful. It might be worth 55k. The fifth dish was tom yum seafood soup. The soup was not extraordinary, though the portion was more than enough for one person. Was it worth 85k. Again, you tell me. The sixth dish was mango sticky rice. The sticky rice was yummy, and the mango was sweet. Portion-wise and taste-wise, it might be worth 49k. The last dish was mango salad. It was not that special. Hence, it was not worth 49k. We ordered various drinks (all of them are not in pictures). The fancy ones, i.e. pandan coconut and mango frappe, tasted fresh though a little too sweet. Overall, we spent around 793k for six people. The next visit was on July 6, 2024. We ordered the same old roasted pandan chicken, pad thai, oysters, and mango salad, plus the new dish red curry duck. The drinks were strawberry frappe, kedondong, green thai tea, and thai tea. The winner for the dishes was the duck. The duck was tender, and the curry was a little spicy but flavorful. The pandan chicken was rather spicy, and the pad thai was a little too sour. The oysters were okay, but the salad was a bit too spicy. All drinks were okay. We spent almost 698k for four people. Coming back here on 9 November, we reordered oysters, mango salad, and pad thai and ordered others seen in pictures. We loved them. The duck was tender and juicy, and the sauce was marvelous. The salmon tasted fresh. The mango coconut tasted good, but it was a bit too thick for me. This time, we spent almost 719k for four people. Coming back again on 29 May 2025, this time with friends, we ordered the following foods: 1. Peking duck sandwich. The duck meat was juicy, but not as tender as before. 2. Salted egg fish skin. This was my favorite. It was crispy, but got the taste from the salted egg sauce. 3. Baby cabbage with garlic. This was an okay for veggies. 4. Sprinkle garlic prawns. This one was also good. The prawns was tender and got the flavor from garlic sprinkles. 5. Roasted pandan chicken. This was my other favorite. The chicken was tender and flavorful.

The menu variation is good, and the taste is ok. Some of the food are too salty for my taste or too strong. Curry need to be thicken as it's too watery. Padthai is good, but the rest are so so. Portion is a bit too small. Desserts are nice though. The durian sticky rice is nice, also the cassava. Es cendol is not as good.

I first tried Santhai quite a while back in PIK, but it’s no longer there. So I was quite eager to try this again, this time in Gandaria city as I remembered their food was really good. I ordered their beef green curry, pineapple fried rice and fish. I was glad to find out that my memory served me right and that their food was still as good as I remembered. The green curry is thick and heavy with the coconut milk which is the way that I like. Very flavorful and the beef is also nice and tender. The pineapple fried rice and fish were also great. Definitely one of the top Thai restaurants on my list
